California Academy of Sciences

Last Wednesday, during my one week of break before work started on Monday this week (I'll try to get a post about work up some time soon...), I went to the California Academy of Sciences. For those of you who don't know, admission is free every third Wednesday of the month, so if you want to go, make sure you go then. It opens at 9:30, but you'll want to get there by 9:30 at the latest cuz there's a loooong line to get in, and once a certain number of people are in the museum, they stop letting people in and make you wait outside.

Anyways, it's pretty fun (though not really worth the $25 on non-free days). There's a planetarium show, an aquarium, an exhibit about mammals, lots of models/displays of animals, and other educational things about animals lol. The best part is this giant dome that they have that contains a rainforest. It's really pretty (and also pretty hot... it is a rainforest, after all!), and there are free-flying birds and butterflies, in addition to colorful snakes and frogs and lizards in glass displays. Oh yeah, and they have real live penguins too! Penguins rock :D

This is me in the rainforest. I think I took almost all my pics in the rainforest. Anyways, I know it's hard to tell, but there's a butterfly on my right arm. It's that brownish looking thing lol.

Butterflies! It's so cool, they just fly all around you in the rainforest, and if you're lucky like I am, they'll fly on you too :D

And finally, for those of you who haven't met the boyfriend, here's the boyfriend. He looks hella like a little boy here. NO I'M NOT A PEDOPHILE.

I haven't written in a long time...

Remember back in the day, when I wrote fanfic stuff all the time? It's been a long time since I did any creative writing, and it's been even longer since I showed other people what I wrote.

Recently in Korean, we had a writing contest, so I wrote this poem. I hope you guys enjoy it... and understand it XD Some people who read it didn't get what happens at the end.


가을 춤 (Autumn Dance)

I’m on top of the world
난 세게의 꼭대기에 있다
On the mountain we used to climb
우리는 등반하던 산이에서
Thinking about all the time we spent here
우 리가 보낸 모든 시간을 생각고 있다
Every fall
매년 가을

Your favorite tree is still here
네 가장 좋아하는 나무가 아직 여기있다
The leaves have turned red again
잎들은 다시 빨간색이지다 (빨개지다)
You always drew this tree
넌 이 나무를 항상 그렸다

The red leaves represented our passion
빨간 잎들은 우리 격렬한 감정을 대표했다
But now
하지만 지금은
The red leaves represent your blood and my pain
